How we choose tours

We recommend tours that you can book on GetYourGuide, because they offer secure payment, clear cancellation terms and verified reviews. There are often dozens of similar options, so this is how we decide what to include.

What we look at

1. Reviews. A high rating matters, but so does the number of reviews and what they say. We read the recent reviews and summarise the common praise and complaints.
2. What is really included. Transport, entry tickets, tastings and meals vary a lot between tours that look identical. We point out what costs extra.
3. Price for what you get. The cheapest tour is not always the best value, especially for long day trips.
4. Flexibility. We prefer tours with free cancellation.
5. Who it suits. Families, couples, wine lovers or first-time visitors: we say who each tour is best for.

What we do not do
