TripsInHungary is an independent travel guide to Hungary, written by a small team based in Debrecen, in the east of the country.

Most guides to Hungary stop at Budapest. We think the rest of the country deserves more: the puszta of Hortobágy, the wine villages of Tokaj and Eger, the spa towns, the castles and the cities of the east that very few international visitors reach.

Our principles

• We say what we know. Local tips come from places we have been to ourselves. When we have not personally done a tour, we tell you what we based our opinion on.
• We keep things current. Every guide shows when it was last updated.
